The Chiller's Role in Oil & Gas

Oil and gas operations run in extreme environments with high-temperature processes. The chiller removes heat from compressor bearing coolers, hydraulic drives for wellheads and chokes, and instrumentation electronics — preventing seal degradation, maintaining bearing-oil viscosity, and keeping safety electronics in their operating envelope under desert heat or offshore moisture.

In remote and unattended locations, the chiller has to run for weeks without intervention. Its reliability directly determines production uptime and environmental safety.

Specialized Oil Compatibility

Bearing and hydraulic oils here are high-temperature synthetics with inhibitor packages — more viscous and lower thermal conductivity than standard coolants. Pumps, compressors, and seals must be validated for API-grade fluids.
