Hydrocarbon Extraction

Subcooling butane and propane solvents to -65°F for high-yield, high-clarity botanical extracts. Commonly paired with SLT condensing units.

Pharmaceutical Freeze-Drying

Condenser cooling for lyophilization chambers. ULT chillers maintain shelf temperature and condenser temps required for API stability.

Supercritical CO2 Extraction

CO2 liquefaction and separator cooling below -50°C for supercritical CO2 systems in botanical and hemp extraction.

Cold Trap / Vapor Recovery

Capturing solvent vapors from vacuum systems in extraction, distillation, and laboratory processes before they reach pumps or vents.

Semiconductor / R&D Testing

Deep Ethanol Pre-Cooling

Is a ULT chiller cryogenic?

No. Cryogenic is below about −150°C; ULT is cascade refrigeration for ultra-low process cooling and cold-storage support down to −80°C.
