Overview

Low Temp Series

The LT Series bridges the gap between standard process cooling and deep sub-zero systems. These chillers are designed for applications that require sub-freezing temperatures — from brewery crash cooling at 28°F to solventless extraction ice baths at 34°F, to glycol loops that need antifreeze protection down to 10°F.

Always use propylene glycol as the heat transfer fluid in LT systems — never pure water below 32°F. Food-safe 30% propylene glycol is recommended for all food and beverage applications.

FAQ

Common Questions

How cold does the LT (Low Temp) series go?

The LT series reaches about 10°F (−12°C) — brewery crash cooling, fermentation, and solventless extraction.

Do I need glycol with an LT chiller?

Below about 40°F you run a glycol/water mix so the fluid does not freeze; the concentration is set to your lowest operating temperature.
