InteliHeat Induction Heating

The heater operates on the induction principle, the heater itself always remains cooler than the drum.

There are no hot spots, no flames, no heating elements, and no fire risk. These are all vital safety features much appreciated by employers and employees alike.

The Thermosafe heating process is uniform, infinitely controllable, and will not degrade the contents of the drum through overheating.

Thermosafe Induction heaters are the only drum heaters available certified for use in explosive atmospheres (Zones 1 & 2), and IP66 enclosure protection allows for hosing down and use outside.

Base Heaters

Base Heaters provide direct heat to the underside of the drum or container.
They can be used on their own, or together with other InteliHeat side heater to boost heat-rates and ensure complete even melting of solid materials.
FARATHERM Induction Base Heater
Provides heat to the base of steel or plastic 55Gal /205L drums and smaller container. May be used individually, or with other InteliHeat products. Uses the same technology as the proven Thermosafe Induction Heater. Class I Zone 1 Hazardous Location Certified.
DIGIHEAT Digital Base Heater
Provides heat to the base of 55Gal drums and smaller containers. May be used on its own, or with other InteliHeat products. Digital indicating thermostat standard. 240VOLT USE ONLY.

THERMOSAFE - BASE HEATER - TOP HAT
SIMPLE PRINCIPLE

The THERMOSAFE is a single induction coil, wholly encapsulated in a cylinder made from a glass reinforced resin specifically developed for chemical plants. The cylinder is simply placed over the drum. Contact is not required.The coil is connected to a single phase AC mains supply and generates heat direct and uniformly in the drum wall. Energy transfer is by alternating magnetic field and thus there is no heat transfer by the conventional and inefficient means of radiation or convection. As there are no hot elements, the heat remains substantially cooler than the drum being heated.

SAFETY

The complete absence of hot elements and the encapsulation of all electrical components enables unattended use, overnight if required. THERMOSAFE can even be used in hazardous areas. Uniform heating without hot spots reduces the risk of product degradation. Accidental spillage does not present a fire hazard and personnel can work comfortably in close proximity. Together, these features allow material to be heated at point-of-use, thus eliminating the transport of hot drums.Class I Zone 1 Certified.

SPEED

By using the entire drum wall to input energy, the fastest practical heating rate can be achieved without product degradation. Heating times will depend on the contents of the drum but, to give a rough idea, the rate to temperature rise of a typical viscous organic liquid with be about 15°C per hour. The speed is further improved by the initial response of induction heating. Typically the THERMOSAFE has proved to be 2-4 times faster than ovens.

Hazardous area heating jackets for 25, 50 and 100 Litre containers. These ATEX Zone 1 and 2 rated heating jackets are ideal for gentle warming or to avoid winter freezing.
CUSTOM SIZES
Hazardous area heating jackets to fit non-standard container sizes. These Class I Division 2 and Class I Zone 1 rated heating jackets can be designed to specifically fit all sorts of unique shapes and sizes.
IBC TOTES
Flexible Hazardous L:ocation Rated Heating Jackets simply wrap around the IBC Tote and clip together. With thermostatic control, simply set the thermostat to your desired temperature
